Production (GMP)

The Dutch Health and Youth Care Inspectorate (IGJ) monitors the manufacturers of medicinal products. Manufacturers who produce medicinal products for human use must have a permit and must meet the requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), an international quality assurance system. We enforce this legal obligation in the Netherlands. The other EU member states have similar inspection authorities with whom we work closely.
